It's not about us.
It's all about Jesus.

We're a group of ordinary people who love Jesus and want to live like the church in the Book of Acts: meeting in homes, reading the Bible together and helping others follow Him.

Our story

It started on a tennis court.

A bunch of friends who played tennis together decided to start a Bible study. No building, no budget, no big plan. Just a cup of tea, an open Bible and a lot of questions about Jesus.

We invited more friends, and then God started adding people. Some of them met Jesus for the very first time. We've watched people get baptised, and then go on to share Jesus with their own friends, family and neighbours.

These days we meet three nights a month in one of our homes, and on the last Monday of every month we all get together at Central Harvest Church in Romford. We meet to pray at 6am every week on WhatsApp, and we regularly head out to tell people about Jesus.

We're growing, but honestly, this has never been about us. It's about Jesus, and seeing His Kingdom grow: one home, one person, one town at a time.

Why homes?

From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.

For the first 300 years, the church met in homes. It was so simple that anyone could do it: open your door, open the Scriptures, and tell people about Jesus. And that's exactly how the Gospel spread everywhere.

The name

So why “LightHouse”?

Think about what a lighthouse actually does. It stands at the edge of the sea and shines, so ships can see the rocks and turn away before it's too late.

That's our calling. Every LightHouse is a home that shines, pointing people away from eternal destruction and toward Jesus, the Light of the world. We want to see our whole region lit up for the glory of God.

We believe the whole Bible is God's Word. It's true, it's trustworthy, and it's how we learn to live.

Jesus, the Light

Jesus is the Son of God and the Light of the world. He died and rose again, and everyone who follows Him is brought out of darkness into life.

The Holy Spirit today

We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today. That means healings, miracles, casting out demons and even raising the dead.

Baptism & new life

We invite people to turn to Jesus, believe and be baptised, and start a whole new life following Him together.

Everyone can lead

We believe every follower of Jesus is called to lead a LightHouse as they grow. There are no spectators in God's Kingdom.

Go and make disciples

Jesus told us to go. So we tell people about Him and help them follow Him, until our whole region is lit up.
